If you are comfortable with PHP and would like to participate in the testing portion of our development cycle and report bugs you find, beta or RC releases could be what you need.
These releases are considered unstable and should not be used in a production environment, or using data that is important. Please backup your database before upgrading to any release that is not marked as 'final'.
To be informed about development releases, look out for announcements on the ImpressCMS.org site, or you can also subscribe to our announcement mailing list.
This release of ImpressCMS officially supports PHP 5.4.x. With this release, we are moving farther into supporting stable versions of PHP5. The current stable releases of PHP are 5.6.7, 5.5.23 and 5.4.39.
PHP 5.4.x should work in most cases as well, althought there might be a few issues in PHP strict mode.
How do I upgrade or install?
