Re: 500 Internal Server Error ??

Found it. Just use the lostpass.php link and it will prompt you, then you can re-enable in the admin area.

Re: 500 Internal Server Error ??

Hi,
Which preferences did you change to get the 500 Internal Error?
Was it startPage?
To which option did you change it? Did you have content for it?

You might have run into a beautiful bug and we need to fix that.

500 Internal Server Error ??

Hello all,

First post here. I just installed a fresh copy. All good until I changed some preferences. Now when i go to the users site, it goes to a 500 internal server error page. Admin website is fine.

Any suggestions?

The articles on www are aggregated from community - which is where the character encoding error is originating.

Language setting?

Guess there's another setting issue. Look at the last letter of Marc-André.

On the frontpage of http://community.impresscms.org we see the following article title: Marc-André on ImpressCMS and Microsoft Web App Gallery

Going to http://impresscms.org/ the title shows up as: Marc-André on ImpressCMS and Microsoft Web App Gallery

Both urls have the article id 503 so I assume they link both the same database entry.

Re: Contributing

This should be fixed. Out might need some time before the page cache is refreshed though. I'll verify later tonight, once I'm in front of my pc.
Cheers

Well spotted!

Contributing

On the main page www.impresscms.org some options in the block Get involved are still linking to CVS Dude instead of Sourceforge.
Maybe one of the moderators can correct this.

Some items will possibly also end up on the Wiki in one form or another when it's moved to a module.

Re: Blogs On Community iCMS

100% agreed. I already thought about the same thing in the past.
I especially liked the articles from Steve about programming guildelines and stuff like performance, ... These articles are the best example for what a blog article is.

Blogs On Community iCMS

Was just starting to read through some of the past blogs, catching up on things and all.

Just wondering why when visiting someone's profile like Steve's aka Skenow I can't see his past blogs? I see news and forums but not blogs?

This also brings me onto another question, what differentiates our news section from the blogs section?

Just wondering because somethings I've seen blogged about in my opinion are news worthy and should be higher up the page. I guess I personally see a blog as a tool to express ones self, opinions, thoughts, current work, what their doing, how their doing it, what they think others should be doing in the project, etc, etc, but it seems our blog system is about connecting to the project not the people in the project.

The original idea behind the blog system when we started it all I thought was to allow an easy way for end users to interface with developers, so end users knew what people where doing and their thought patterns.

Here are some blogs which I think should be news articles and on the front page:

IPF Q&A Session - Thursday January 14th 4 PM GMT -5 <-- This is project training news, it's announcing a training session.

CVSDude issues solved <-- This is project related news

ImpressCMS in 2010 <-- this is stating the direction of the project and should surely be under the project news section.

Articles good for the blogs (my opinion):

Myblocksadmin - follow up <-- in this blog, "Now that ImpressCMS 1.2 is final, I determined I should" this is Steve talking on a personal level, not so much a project level and is in my opinion idea for the blog area.

Beware of XHTML <-- "I'm not a "technology preacher". I'm not" again this more the individual talking briefly about a subject and not making statements for the project. Again ideal for the blogs area.

Make it go faster! Part 3 - Array Construction <--- Again this is Steve talking about how to speed up the core, it's a nice little training session and it's not project news, so it's ideal in the blogs section.

Is anyone else thinking the same? What are your thoughts?

I'm not critiquing the actual articles, there all very good. I'm just looking to debate how we organise the information we provide for the end user both new and existing to the project.

Your all doing a good job! :bravo:

Re: Improving the way forum notifications are sent on Community

You are right Steve. I fixed it. And I've added "ICMS Community" as a prefix of the email subject. So now you get:

Quote:

Subject: ICMS Community - ImpressCMS 1.2 latest trunk - protector link is false

skenow said in Development Discussions:

Well, one has reported the problem and another cannot confirm it. We need a tie-breaker before we make any further changes.

A lot of messages come from that address - the forums aren't the only notifications I get

Re: Improving the way forum notifications are sent on Community
