Re: GranadaSur Experiences with an AJAX bite

Great work nachenko. I also love jquery and am experimenting with it on the admin side of impress.

First thing I did was try to improve the visibility of the blocks mode (on/off) by adding the variable class into the tr element that defines wether a block is active or not. Second, I call upon jquery and a small table sort scripts to do the trick. The th (tableheaders) now have two functions, describe the colom, and use as sorting order.

The only problem I now have is that jquery kinda has troubles with the xoops.js file as it conflicts^^

GranadaSur Experiences with an AJAX bite

Hi everyone.

Now it's time to show the world my latest creation:

Granada Sur Experiences

http://www.granadasur.com

Look at the AJAX snippet that changes the photo every eight seconds. Ain't it cool, baby? It's done using jQuery. And this is only the beginning, AJAX is piece of cake using jQUery. Now I should have a try at jQuery UI to make things cooler

Thx! :bravo: that "clear" fix worked as far as I can tell for FF.

I always hear good things about it, but those modules are something I've never really tried. Good info to know Steve, thanks.

Re: Launch of imarketinsights.com

Both Formulaire and Formulize have a very flexible configuration. Formulaire has an email field that allows you to have a single form that can be routed to several people, depending on the options selected - like this

Formulize has a VERY complete set of notification options, so you can route notices to different users, based on any entry or event for the form. You can also create subforms, have fields on the form that are only visible to specific user groups, and again, a very complete set of user permissions for form actions. You can also create views and reports for the forms and publish them to different user groups. It is my #1 choice for custom forms.

Either of the ones Skenow has linked are fine modules to use for a contact form.

Liase however allows you to create custom forms and any number of them to, so it depends on your requirements.

Tom, is there an add-on one can use for the contact form?

look fine on windows+ff3

you both use linux firefox correct?

without actually encountering the problem all I can suggest is you add a clear:both to the css for that block. See if that works.

Thanks, I know about that already, sadly .

Its just with that bottom centre block (top page only), only in Firefox. Just weird.

Love to hear if there is a fix for that.

Thanks Tom, that's good advice with the contact form. Also, thanks for the note about the new basic features with the core install, mastop has worked very well for the most part, but I'm open to checking out alternatives.

We'll see about incorporating more modules and more web 2.0 functionality over time... just a bit more portal oriented now, but that is the great thing about this all, wiht the ability to add functions over time, etc.

Cheers

Yep, same problem as Skenow here.

FF 2.0.0.16

Re: Launch of imarketinsights.com

The site looks quite good. Definitely a nice example of using icms

However, one of the blocks doesn't flow well with the theme in FF2 and FF, I've attached a screenshot.
