I take that back, I only got so far as cloning blocks.

So I cloned the template, switched the default to the clone and am now happily editing my blocks.

I didn't go with your suggestion will, as a noob one theme is more than enough to be getting on with whilst I learn the ropes but your input is very much appreciated.

Now I'm trying to figure out why I can't get anything to show 'bottom-centre' and when I put something centre-centre it goes to the top, i'm guessing it's to do with the way I have the 'oreder' numbers.

The 'theme.html' file you mention I should edit, I assume you mean the one in /themes/tech4?

I just spent a few mins looking at that and it doesn't seem to resemble the code you quoted above.

Should I look again or am I looking ion the wrong folder?

The module's author was working on 3.3 but had to leave development on it for a while - we've been working on improving security on the module, as a few issues had recently been discovered.

It's a very good module from all accounts ... but I wish I had time to play with it

I got past cloning, but didn't change the default template setting. I probably should have made that clearer with my initial question, apologies.

I'm slowly gettin the hang of it I promise.

Some of the blocks, most notably last comment, are far too wide and make the outer columns look awful when activated so I guessed that by comparing the html with a working block I'll be able to reset the width.

Yes, thanks for that. I noticed that in the database as well.

I'm reporting on what MySQL operating on Windows / IIS is doing and how I was able to fix it.

It looks like autoincrement is working just fine with a 0 value being supplied (in other words, appropriate incremented key values are being created), however in my configuration it seemed to choke on the '' value when that was sent via the "INSERT INTO" statements.

BTW, I think the wf-links code module is really great and have a very specific use planned for it. Thanks for putting it together.

This means that all category id's (cid) in your database have the value 0.
The value is assigned by MySQL there it is set to 'auto_increment' in the database.

A small but problematic issue (for me) with the file Category.php in directory wf-links/admin

Problem: When adding a new category, the MySQL DBMS went mustang for the primary key having a hardwired value of ''.

Hmm... looks like a similar problem in Submit.php (line 94) however, that code seems to also be missing some DB fields in the SQL INSERT INTO statement.

Everything after your <body> tag should come before your </head> tag.

Aside from that your problem is likely to be in a recurring template used on yogurt.

Fix your theme.html first and disbale visible blocks on yogurt pages. Then we should be able to narrow down that stray "t"

What version of Yogurt are you using?

I just downloaded this version:

Installed it to quickly test, and I don't get the same result.

What version of ImpressCMS are you testing with and could there be any other blocks on content on the page which could cause an issue?

I presume your trying to edit the default templates?

When you go to the templates admin, you'll see a column that says 'Action' in there will be two click able links 'Download' & 'Clone'.

Admin --> Templates

modules/system/admin.php?fct=tplsets

First of all you need to clone your templates, then in 'General Settings' you need to the change the 'Default template set' to the new set you've just cloned.

Admin --> Preferences --> General Settings

modules/system/admin.php?fct=preferences&op=show&confcat_id=1

No go back to your 'Templates admin', and see the options for your newly cloned set, in the 'Action' column you'll see three options with one of them being 'Edit' click that, you will now be able to edit the html templates and save the changes at the bottom of the form.

Templates will eventually be moved out of the admin area, and edited like themes are now which will lessen the strain on the DB and also removing this Template admin area.

if you are editing through the very old and should have been removed a loooong time ago template manager in the admin panel... you have to clone the template set first before you can edit anything.

Once the template set is cloned you will need to set it as your default template set via preferences.

then and only then will you be able to modify templates via the admin panel.

Other than that you can use template overriding via your ftp app.

set it up like this

All module templates go in:
/themes/yourtheme/modules/modulename/modulefile.html

All module-block templates go in:
/themes/yourtheme/modules/modulename/blocks/blockfile.html

Now you can edit these freely and independently per theme.

't' with my yogurt!

Any pages in my site that are yogurt pages have a small 't' in the very top left corner of my site, forcing a black border across the top of all yogurt pages.

How can I get rid of this 't'??

You solve my problems (what was not really a problem i know now) the second time. Thank you very much to spend your time for me, yes the error warnings are gone after the first entry in the module!!! I´m sorry, that i not try this simply solution, but i see it and think - oh oh there is a problem!

That particular ALTER TABLE instruction is only found in pical/include/onupdate.inc.php - and it executed when I updated the module (after a clean install of 0.91h, set some preferences, created some categories, but no events added). Looking at the DB, indeed, too many indexes are created - it appears the instruction gets caught in a loop and creates duplicate indexes (I ended with 3 sets of all 17, I suppose it failed on the 4th attempt as it tried to create 17 more, which exceeded the limit)


I'm not sure why it was executed more than once, though - perhaps we should look at our code to see if we are doing it.

I uninstalled the module, then reinstalled it. Afterwards, I did the same as before, except this time I added an event before I updated the module - this time, no SQL error and, also, only 1 set of indexes on the table

Indeed, with FF I got the same issue, also with Opera.

Opera adds this message to the admin index page:
Your eXtCal version is obsolete. We recommand to check out new eXtCal version on Zoullou.net.

This is with latest, 'stable' release of eXtCal 2.2.0

When I click the upgrade button it will upgrade, than a message saying Downloading done, Click here to install, next message is question to update the module.
After updating the version number is still 2.2 and when going back to the admin index page the message about using an obsolete version is still there...
