Re: Downloads site: Work neededOk a few more progress on Addons.
- The site was upgraded to the latest ImpressCMS code - We removed the Google ads for now... Anyway it won't bring much revenu. Let's wait until we have enough traffic to use TLA. - The download block was improved - Mr T is now moving the 3 bottom blocks (hot theme, hot module, popular downloads) in the left column as there is enough room there to fit this - User registration closed for now. When 1.1 is released, we will use OpenID for user registration and login We have created a wiki page to follow what is left to do. Please have a look: http://wiki.impresscms.org/index.php?title=Addons_Todo_List Comments, feedback, thoughts, help, all welcome |

Re: Downloads site: Work neededI had an idea earlier on how to add the translated ones... instead of trying to fit all the language versions of the main text, inside one page - we could simply link to each language page by using the language-smarty tag that was created during RC2 or RC3 of 1.0.

Re: Downloads site: Work neededSearch form integrated. - added cleardefaultext script
___ Recent Addons Block. Stylng done <{if cid == blah or blah or blah}> is not the solution, because the script only pulls the top 3 regardless of what the cid is. Spoke to marcan about the recent addons block. The php behind the block needs to be enhanced to target specific cid's. So in the template we can call <{foreach item=block from=downloadmods}> and it would just pull the latests addons in the cids specified for modules. I took a shot at it, but failed miserably. ___ Most downloaded Block Styling done. |

Re: Downloads site: Work neededI've added the smarty check to look at the selected language, and to make the relevant language Guidelines available.
Obviously I don't have all the translations yet... so these will need to be sorted. |

Re: Downloads site: Work neededRight.....
The English versions of all the pages has now been moved to SmartContent ... which I'll expand later to also have the current other language pages. Usage Guidelines has been updated here: http://wiki.impresscms.org/index.php?title=Downloads_usage_guidelines I think some of the categories may need better explanations then I have - so if anyone can improve - please have a look. |

Re: Downloads site: Work neededAgreed for Language modules - I can disable the entries in there for now - and just have the upper level category open.
We can submit entries for Language (Core) - linking to Sourceforge. |

Re: Downloads site: Work neededAlright, after speaking with David about the issues with IE6 on addons. We decided it would be far too much work to get addons looking at least functional in IE6 and below.
We agreed to put up a splash page for users using these older browsers suggesting that they download. I drew up the page, and it was sexy... but... I didn't listen. Took me about 6 hours, but addons is now working perfectly in IE6. zzzzz time. |
