Just can not stay away

stable Shop for ImpressCMS

Hi,
i need a module of e-commerce, which contain a cataloge of description, price and image of goods. This module should be worked on ImpressCMS.

Thats a tricky one, there is OSCommers and ZenCart modules, however they are both very buggy and unstable.

I do know that the Smart Factory is working on the new Smart Shop.

Re: stable Shop for ImpressCMS

Yes, currently there is no native commerce module for any branch of xoops including ImpressCMS.

All of the available modules are just bridges between the x core and each particular cart. Personally I would not suggest using either of the available cart modules as not only are they buggy, they are terribly insecure, and built upon ancient versions of the commerce software that they are derived from. It was a noble pursuit by each of the authors, however it is long overdue that we the users have a truly native commerce option for ImpressCMS.

The Smartfactory is indeed working on a commerce solution for ImpressCMS, and we are all awaiting its arrival eagerly.

Perhaps one of the module devs will give us an update of the modules status?

Bookshop is a commercial solution from Instant Zero, though it is as I have heard not very scalable, and quite a bit of work on your part would need to be done to integrate your payment gateways. I have no personal experience with this module, so Contacting Instant Zero for more information if you are interested would yield the best results if you have queries.

BOL.

If you have a little time, I'd personally hold fire and see what comes of the Smart Shop module, every other module they have produced has been exceptional, with on going support.

Re: stable Shop for ImpressCMS

Has anyone experimented with xarshop?

Just wondering how functional it is out of the box, and how secure it is for customer transactions?

Re: stable Shop for ImpressCMS

And I see René has - Our posts were seconds apart.

Don't suppose you have an English version as Google translate doesn't normally do justice.

The bottom posts from René are actually English

Re: stable Shop for ImpressCMS

Almost a month ago I received that mail from xarshop developer:
Quote:

hi,
I'm very glad that you like the xarshop.
My english is poor, but i understood what you say. i will do it.
Every user can create his own small shop and add his own products, select his own theme.
I am busy at the other project. I think i need at least a month, possibly a little longer:)
regards
shawn

Re: stable Shop for ImpressCMS

I'm going to try setting up a simple static content shop using Pico, I think this could be a good option for people with a limited range of products. If it works out I'll post back.
