Ohloh: the open source network

I believe ohloh.net is an important (and very cool ) site about open source. It provides many information about open source project. I have already created a project for ImpressCMS and have enabled it to analyze our SVN so it will gatter som statistics about commits, code, contrib utor, etc...

I would really appreciate if everyone of you could :

- Create an account on http://www.ohloh.net/
- Configure your geo-location in your profile
- Add ImpressCMS to your stack
- When you will have committed on our SVN, wait a day or 2 and then go the list of ImpressCMS Contributors and as soon as you see your SourceForge username, please click on it and click on the button "This is me" so Ohloh can associate your Ohloh user account with your SF username.

One of the thing that was never really done in the last years for XOOPS was proper promotion of our product. We need to promote it everywhere we can. Ohloh is one of those place.

Thanks !

Re: Ohloh: the open source network

Ok Ohloh have updated our project (they update projects about once a week), so now, I am not the only developer, yé !!!

http://www.ohloh.net/projects/10042/analyses/latest/contributors

Can I ask the people who have committed in our SVN to go on the previous link, click on your name and then on "I am this person" link on the upper right so Ohloh can associate your SF username with your Ohloh account (of course, if you don't yet have an Ohloh account, please creat one first).

Also, in your profile, please edit your physical location so the map can show the physical location of all ImpressCMS developer.

I know all this may sound not usefull, but I believe this is important from a marketing's perspective. It is important to show the project does not rely on only 1 developer, and that contributors are spread all around the world.

Thanks for your collaboartion on that matter !

Re: Ohloh: the open source network

I see that Ohloh is headquartered in Bellevue, WA. There's not some sinister connection with Microsoft, is there? (Microsoft is about five miles from Bellevue.)

Re: Ohloh: the open source network

Our project is now up to date at Ohloh : http://www.ohloh.net/projects/10042?p=ImpressCMS

And it looks nice . It is now publicaly available that we are a string and very active team

People (with commits) who have not linked their SourceForge account to their Ohloh account, please do this as soon as you can.

Cheers !

Re: Ohloh: the open source network

Apparently we're suppposed to all give each other kudos? I received five kudos today, and gave those people kudos in return.

Re: Ohloh: the open source network

lol @ supposed.. nah but i think it gives us all a good start and a move up the ladder.

I think we've all earned some kudos with the work we've all accomplished so far anyway :)
