ImpressCMS ThemeThe next thing we will need after the logo is a theme for all these sites :
- impresscms.org - community.impresscms.org - addons.impresscms.org - wiki.impresscms.org - docs.impresscms.org - demo.impresscms.org I would like to see only 1 theme for all these sites but with only a small variation to let the uer know where he is. A "site bar" navigation would also be great. In fact, I think you guys already did that concept for the xoopsfoundation.org and other sites. Edited by davidl2 on 2008/1/8 20:52:25

Re: ImpressCMS ThemeIt would be good if whatever theme we uses, also makes use of at least one extra block positions of ICMS as well...

Re: ImpressCMS ThemeI am attaching here template #6 viewed with the logo proposal in green version.
So besides deciding the logo, there's some things of the design in case this one is chosed that need to be decided too. - What would these small variations be in between themes for each area? - What width should the theme be? I had planned this theme to be fixed width at 960 pixels. About building it: I can build it using a personal morphogenesis template I use to make most of the things I do. It contains only 1 table and if the styles are disabled it still looks as if it were tableless. If it were fixed width I could try do all the rest of the design without tables but if it were percent that's harder for me and would have to add a couple of tables. In case of percent I'd add tables if the theme were to have the shadow it has now at the sides and if curved corner stretching boxes are needed. If that's ok with you all I can make it like this. In case of yes. I'd need the requirements defined and if changes are needed, for them to be specified. Attach file: impress-cms_template-1.jpg (0.00 KB) |

I like the original idea of the base colour for the banner, and the images changing. Quote:

Re: ImpressCMS ThemeUnless I'm mistaken - the colour/image would change on the center banner depending on which site you where on.

Re: ImpressCMS Themethanks for all the motivating comments. I'm ready to work on it this weekend.
But then I do need to know at least the width, because percent and fixed width would have different layouts. If I made the 960 fixed width and then was asked to change to percent it could be I need to redo some of the css and html. 960px fixed with or percent? |

Re: ImpressCMS ThemeIMHO, percent. Perhaps 95%.

Re: ImpressCMS Themeok I do this. I'll try to code it best I can. If someone feels they can handle the tableless part better I can send the psd.

Re: ImpressCMS ThemeAna,
If you can send me a high resolution PNG, I can take a shot at the XHTML/CSS, if you would like. I'm assuming we're going to run on the latest stable release of XOOPS, right? |

Re: ImpressCMS ThemeNice work this was really what i had in mind for xoops but now much better to use it for impressCMS :D as the question before was not answered i guess and hope the Colors will change by the different menupoints? Green i.e. for community blue for addons (just examples).
But at least big thumbs up Marko |
