Re: ImpressCMS ThemeThat's probably the best idea for the time being. The valid code itself is not that difficult. In fact it only took a little while to do the original static html layout. The issue is making that static html layout play well with blocks, modules, and core pages (edituser.php for example). More time to work on a high quality default layout would be good. That way, many hands can get involved and we can do something good as a community.

Re: ImpressCMS ThemeI've started to do some layout tests using Jame's downloadable version for now - using the block positions as per Ana's theme design ... I've got some housework (sorry!) to do first - but will do more of this tonight and some text as well.

Re: ImpressCMS ThemeBeen experimenting with James's theme - but having problems on the bottom right center block - which seems to floot onto the next row.
Need to speak to someone more used to theme design then me to understand why it's not working for me |

Re: ImpressCMS ThemeI'm running late with some last minute work for that past clients were asking me before the christmas holidays come.
I need to finish a presentation for tomorrow but I'm still working on the icms theme. I'll let you all know as soon as it is ready hopefully before the weekend. |

Re: ImpressCMS ThemeCan the designers... upload to the svn the changes... it will be cool to see it... and download it... and maybe we can help... ;)
the route for the upload should be... /themes/impresscms |

Re: ImpressCMS ThemeIt's a good idea - but this is for the theme for this site (and the other icms sites) - so it's better to just upload it locally here for people to help with.
We do need to decide which themes to package with this release - but this is in another post I think? |

Re: ImpressCMS ThemeQuote:
I understand what you mean david, but we surely have a "themes" folder in our SVN root, so we better start using it !! I would like to see our impresscms theme as the first theme in that folder ! But perhaps Ana needs to finish up the rough things and its better only her play with this. But as soon as the rough is done, perhaps ana could commit it to /themes/impresscms so everyone could improve it ? |

Re: ImpressCMS ThemeSorry to be critical - but I think that the site theme should be just used for our own sites.
It's not a case of being greedy etc... but a case of keeping our own distinct identity. Example: look at the Zeta theme, that Snow, Skalpa and others spent a lot of time on... it's still a very good theme (and one of my favourites) - but because a lot of other people use it on their own sites - it lost impact when we used the design on xoopsaddons. It's important in marketing to keep a distinct identity. |

Re: ImpressCMS ThemeI think I'll be finished tomorrow and send it. I don't know how to use the svn other than for downloading but I'll post the theme zip here. It will need a lot of testing in a live environment like here in the community site that has lots of modules.
the submenu ... those links below the tabs... should it be multimenu or plain html links inside the theme.html? They would be these links I think: Support Forums - News and Articles - Web Links - News Feeds. - Partners And the tabs have: home | community | addons | wiki | blog |

Re: ImpressCMS Themeok, I'll do plain links for now, since it will be in a way easier to do and I guess you all are busy with the new release to use time to install and configure multimenu.
In the future if you need multimenu to manage the links from the admin side, I can add this to the theme later. Also because I thought some sublinks could need a dropdown menu. |
