Launch of imarketinsights.comI guess I can release this perpetual work in process for the community to take a gander at.
http://www.imarketinsights.com/index.php The site is meant to showcase marketing research that our firm Prophis Research does. So far what is there is tip of the iceberg in terms of content. But I would say overall we are pleased with the structure and design elements we were able to put together with impresscms and mr. theme. |

Re: Launch of imarketinsights.comStop stroking his Ego, he'll get to excited lol.
Are you planning on continuing to use Mastop Publish? I only ask because the next stable release of ImpressCMS will have an inbuilt basic content manager which is pretty much the same. This would eliminate the need to maintain a separate module with your core install. Anyway it looks really nice, the only thing I would personally consider is a contact form. When I visit websites if I have to open up my e-mail client or use a webmail site (like Squirrel Mail) I tend not to bother contact that site unless I have no other choice and I don't like mailto's opening my software for me. Plus hiding your E-mail address should cut down on spam. This is only my personal opinion and preferences but I do know of many who also feel the same. I suppose it's about making it easier for the end user in a true web 2.0 fashion. When your ready for official launch, please also feel free to make a public press release within our news and articles section, there is a category titled 'They use ImpressCMS' specifically for promotions of ImpressCMS created websites. |

Re: Launch of imarketinsights.comThe site looks quite good. Definitely a nice example of using icms
However, one of the blocks doesn't flow well with the theme in FF2 and FF, I've attached a screenshot. Attach file: imarketinsights_index.png (0.00 KB) |

Re: Launch of imarketinsights.comThanks Tom, that's good advice with the contact form. Also, thanks for the note about the new basic features with the core install, mastop has worked very well for the most part, but I'm open to checking out alternatives.
We'll see about incorporating more modules and more web 2.0 functionality over time... just a bit more portal oriented now, but that is the great thing about this all, wiht the ability to add functions over time, etc. Cheers s |

Re: Launch of imarketinsights.comThanks, I know about that already, sadly .
Its just with that bottom centre block (top page only), only in Firefox. Just weird. Love to hear if there is a fix for that. s |

Re: Launch of imarketinsights.comlook fine on windows+ff3
you both use linux firefox correct? without actually encountering the problem all I can suggest is you add a clear:both to the css for that block. See if that works. |

Re: Launch of imarketinsights.comEither of the ones Skenow has linked are fine modules to use for a contact form.
Liase however allows you to create custom forms and any number of them to, so it depends on your requirements. |

Re: Launch of imarketinsights.comBoth Formulaire and Formulize have a very flexible configuration. Formulaire has an email field that allows you to have a single form that can be routed to several people, depending on the options selected - like this
Formulize has a VERY complete set of notification options, so you can route notices to different users, based on any entry or event for the form. You can also create subforms, have fields on the form that are only visible to specific user groups, and again, a very complete set of user permissions for form actions. You can also create views and reports for the forms and publish them to different user groups. It is my #1 choice for custom forms. |

Re: Launch of imarketinsights.comI always hear good things about it, but those modules are something I've never really tried. Good info to know Steve, thanks.
