First Beta release for ImpressCMS 2.0.0
The first Beta release for ImpressCMS 2 is now available for testing purposes.
There is still some work to be done in order to make this a rock-solid experience, especially taking into account that this release brings along massive amounts of changes under the hood, as well as introducing official compatibility with newer versions of PHP and MySQL.

The upcoming 2.0 release will represent a big leap from the most recent 1.4.6 version. It contains the result of lots of code cleanups and evolutions, even though the base architecture is still based on IPF.
Going towards the final release, we will publish new beta releases on a faster schedule, in order to receive broader feedback on as many as possible environments. One of the bigger challenges will be to have a rock-solid upgrade path from previous versions.
