ImpressCMS 2.0 beta 3 is now available for testing. Without unforeseen bugs, this should be the last beta release before we go to Release Candidate.
This third beta release fixes some bugs, and also finalizes some deprecations of old code throughout the core. Given the wide range of changed files, this will need thorough testing.

The upcoming ImpressCMS 2.0 release will be a big step from the most recent 1.4.6 version. It contains the result of lots of code cleanups and evolutions, even though the base architecture is still based on IPF.
ImpressCMS 2.0 already supports PHP 7.4 - PHP 8.3. Testing is underway for compatibility with PHP 8.4.
One of the bigger challenges will be to have a rock-solid upgrade path from previous versions, given our promise that the migration from ImpressCMS 1 to ImpressCMS 2 should be possible without necessitating a rebuild of your site. Module compatibility will be a major point here as well
