One of the great things about ImpressCMS is the ability to customize content and control permissions based on user groups. Providing your users and visitors with a customized experience is an important component of a successful web site. ImpressCMS adds 3 default groups at the time of installation - Webmasters, Registered Users and Anonymous Users. Webmasters have full access and control over the entire site, while Registered Users have access to the public portions of the site and not to any of the administration areas. Anonymous Users have the least amount of access, but can view most of the public areas of the site and they may have some posting and commenting privileges. ImpressCMS also gives the webmaster the ability to create custom groups and set different privileges for them to further customize the experience for those users.
