Patches

 A patch:

• Is a single specific fix or feature 
• Has a task branch in the code repository and a ticket defining the task
• Is based on a final release
• Is not dependent on any other patch
• Has a standard file/folder structure, starting above the web root
  • /htdocs/
  • /trust_path/
  • readme.txt

How to Apply a Patch

• Download the compressed archive
• Extract the files and upload to your site. Alternately, you could upload the archive to your server and extract it there
• Any additional steps will be detailed in the readme included with the patch - some patches may require manual changes to configuration files or settings.
