Symlink allows you to create a unique link based on any page of your website, which can be used for blocks specific to a page URL, or to link directly within the content of a module.
When you define a symlink, it gets added to the list of pages on your site. This allows a block to be placed directly upon a single page, within just one part of a module.
Example: [siteurl]/modules/newbb/viewforum.php?forum=10 - could be added to provide a block to just appear on one forum category of a website.
